An award-winning home on the edge of Adair Park designed with care is on the market for the first time.
Zoom in:The 1043 is a restored five-bedroom house defined by features like retouched hardwoods, hand-painted wall designs and a speakeasy bar.
Catch up quick: Owners Tracy Galasso and Parks Pope bought the property in 2015 and spent three years fixing the bones — HVAC, plumbing, walls — and tapping the house's soul (check out the original balusters on the stairs).
The duo operated the home as a bed and breakfast for several years and spent the pandemic redesigning the spaces for photoshoots and film and TV productions.
What they're saying: Galasso told Axios she will most miss the people she met while hosting overnight guests and Netflix documentary productions.
"It's been a wild ride but having a place that brings a variety of people through your door has been really the best," Galasso told Axios.
