Weekend events: Jazz Festival, Momocon, Caribbean carnival

Memorial Day weekend marks the unofficial start of summer, and there are no shortage of events to celebrate in Atlanta.

🎷 First up we've got the 2025 Atlanta Jazz Festival, which takes place May 24-26 at Piedmont Park.

The three-day event, which is free, is the one of the largest jazz festivals in the country, the city says.

Derrick Hodge, Russell Gunn and Blackhawk Quartet, Joe Gransden and His Big Band and others are set to take the state. View the lineup
Use ride share, take MARTA, bike or ride a scooter to the festival. You will be ticketed or towed if you park on residential side streets adjacent to the park.
A pre-festival concert featuring Robert Glasper and Baby Rose begins at 8pm Friday at Atlanta Symphony Hall.

🏀 The Atlanta Dream hosts its first home game of the season with a matchup against Indiana Fever at State Farm Arena. (Thurs.)

🎮 Japanese anime, comics and video game superfans will all assemble at the Georgia World Congress Center for Momocon 2025. (through Sun.)

🎉 Atlanta's Caribbean Carnival celebrates the region's diverse cultures with music, food and more. (through Sun.)

🍺 Sip beer and wine sample and enjoy live music at Zoo Atlanta's Brew at the Zoo. (Sat.)

⚽ Atlanta United takes on Cincinnati at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. (Sun.)
