Falcons head to Tampa for pivotal division matchup

Catch up quick: The Falcons suffered 20-point home loss to the Seattle Seahawks in which head coach Raheem Morris said the team "came out flat."

• It was a disappointing result as Atlanta had entered the game as winners of three straight division games and could've grabbed a commanding lead in the NFC South with 10 games to go.

Yes, but: They got some help as the Bucs, who would've jumped into first with a win Sunday night, also lost at home to the Baltimore Ravens.

• Tampa's top two receivers were injured in the game and neither will be available against the Falcons on Sunday. Mike Evans, a constant pain for Atlanta, is out until at least Week 11 and Chris Godwin is done for the year.

The bottom line: If the Falcons are serious about winning the division and being contenders in the playoffs, they have to win Sunday. Losing to a divisional opponent without their best offensive players would be a tough one to swallow.

What we're watching: Whether Atlanta makes a move ahead of the Nov. 5 trade deadline (which also happens to be Election Day).

• They could use an edge rusher as they have just six sacks on the year which is dead last in the NFL.

No. 2 UGA has a bye this week after a massive win on the road against Texas. They return to action on Nov. 2 for the Georgia/Florida game.

• Georgia Tech will try to get back on track at Virginia Tech at noon Saturday.
• Georgia State heads to Appalachian State for a 1pm game, Georgia Southern is off to Old Dominion for a 7pm kickoff and Mercer hosts Western Carolina at 3:30pm.
