Cynthia Bailey talks about her first leading role in a new BET+ movie

Reality TV star Cynthia Bailey will star in a new film streaming this week on BET+.

Why it matters: This is the first lead role for the former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" cast member.

The latest: The movie is called "Who's Cheating Who?" and is the directorial debut for longtime actress Wendy Raquel Robinson ("The Game").

It's about two married couples who are unknowingly having an affair with one another until eventually everything unravels.

Bailey plays "Maxine," a psychotherapist who "definitely needs some therapy herself," she told Axios.

"I had a lot of fun bringing her to life" said Bailey. "There's nothing that can prepare you guys to see Cynthia Bailey in this movie as Maxine."

What's next: "Who's Cheating Who?" debuts Thursday, Aug. 29 exclusively on BET+.
