The Atlanta Braves will open their 2024 home schedule at Truist Park against the Diamondbacks on Friday.

What we're watching: The Braves' high-scoring offense and equally impressive pitching staff.

If you go: The game starts at 7:20pm and airs on Bally Sports South. Gates open at 4:30pm.

  • Fans can line the streets of The Battery to get close to their favorite players and coaches during a 4pm parade near Silverspot Cinema that'll continue down Battery Avenue to the First Base Gate.

Once inside: Truist Park has new group seating, concessions, retail spaces, food and beverage offerings, according to a Braves spokesperson.

  • The former Xfinity Rooftop was renovated to include a Blue Moon Beer Garden for all fans inside the ballpark.
  • The Jim Beam Bourbon Decks behind sections 142 and 143 offer private access to the new Jim Beam 60 Ft. 6 Bar that serves customers.
  • The Braves Clubhouse Store expanded to include an additional 1500 square feet for a jersey walk-up shop, a new point-of-sale system and more checkouts.

On the menu: New food offerings include the "Pitcher's Mound" — waffle fries served nacho-style with brisket, spicy cheese sauce, pico de gallo, salsa roja and lime crema;

  • And the "4 Bagger" — aka four charbroiled burgers, covered with a pound of barbecue brisket, jalapeños, aged cheddar cheese and reaper pepper mayo. Served on a sesame seed bun and topped with onion rings.

First pitch: Former Braves centerfielder and 1995 World Series champion Marquis Grissom will throw the ceremonial first pitch.

National anthem and flyover: The Jersey Boys cast will perform the national anthem. The performance will conclude with a flyover by four F-35s from the 187th Fighter Wing Red Tails from Air National Guard in Alabama.

7th Inning Stretch: Atlanta Braves opera tenor Timothy Miller will perform "God Bless America."
