George W. Bush has no plans to endorse a 2024 presidential candidate

Zoom out: Bush's office said Saturday that neither he nor former First Lady Laura Bush would endorse a candidate or publicly share how they will vote, NBC News reported.

• "President Bush retired from presidential politics years ago," his office added.

Flashback: Last month, more than 200 staffers who worked for either of the Bush administrations, Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah), and late Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) endorsed Harris' presidential bid. But Bush himself has been largely quiet on his GOP successor's campaigns.

• In 2016, a spokesperson said the former president and first lady voted "None of the Above for President," declining to vote for Hillary Clinton or Trump.
