A program launched by Bank of America is making golf cheap for kids.
Why it matters: Golf with Us is one of a number of initiatives in Cleveland and across the country aiming to make a sport long associated with country clubs more accessible.
How it works: Through a partnership with Youth on Course, a nonprofit that makes golf more affordable for children, Bank of America is funding golf for kids ages 6–18 at thousands of courses around the country.
Kids can enroll in a free one-year membership through May 24.
Zoom in: Golf with Us includes access to all the Metroparks golf courses —minus Sleepy Hollow and Manakiki — plus Tanglewood in Chagrin Falls, North Olmsted Golf Club and the Cleveland-owned Highland Park, all for $5 per round.
Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay died in his sleep Wednesday at age 65, per a post from the team.
The big picture: Under Irsay's decades of leadership, the Colts won 10 division titles, two AFC championships and Super Bowl XLI in the 2006 season with quarterback Peyton Manning and coach Tony Dungy.
