Lori Loughlin, husband plead not guilty in college admissions scandal case

Actress Lori Loughlin and her husband Mossimo Giannulli pleaded not guilty and waived their right to a court appearance in a court filing Monday on charges of of mail fraud and money laundering conspiracy in the college admissions bribery scandal, the AP reports.

The big picture: Loughlin and Giannulli allegedly paid $500,000 in bribes to guarantee their daughters' admission to the University of Southern California as crew team recruits, though neither daughter actually took part in the sport. Actress Felicity Huffman and 12 other parents have already agreed to plead guilty in the case.
