Father's Day is Sunday, and while there are some other, um, big things happening in D.C. this weekend, you'll find plenty of creative ways to celebrate dad.
All Dad Day events are Sunday unless noted.
🎶 Entertainment
- An al fresco "Opera Italiana" concert returns to the Lincoln Memorial (6:30pm), featuring acclaimed soloists and the winner of the #DCOperaChallenge on TikTok. Free, no tickets or dress code — bring blankets and lawn chairs.
🎉 Kid-friendly
- Set sail in Annapolis: Dads and grandads ride for free aboard Pirate Adventures. While you're there, get cracking at one of these great crab houses.
- Tysons family fest: Shipgarten hosts a free bash (12–6pm) with moon bounces and face painting for kids, beer and cornhole for adults, and live music for all.
⚾ Sports & Outdoor
- The Nationals vs. the Miami Marlins at 1:35pm — score a free Hawaiian shirt with your ticket.
- F1 Arcade DC hosts a Father's Day and Montreal Grand Prix Watch Party (1-4pm, tickets start at $49) with DJs, unlimited drinks and bites, and open sim racing.
- Cast off with our boating guide, which includes free kayak/paddle experiences and splurge-worthy cruises.
😋 Dining and drinking
- Dads eat (seriously good) pasta for free at Cucina Morini downtown or Osteria Morini in Navy Yard (dine-in only).
- A giant bluefin tuna-carving demo, flowing sake and brunch with unlimited toro make for a unique experience at Arrels by chef Pepe Moncayo (11:30am, $88 tickets per person).
- Stellar Silver & Sons BBQ in Bethesda is packing Father's Day picnics (pre-order, $95 feeds four).
💆 Treat yo'dad
- Start celebrating Friday at the Willard's courtyard soiree (5:30-7:30pm) featuring Scotch tastings, cigar rolling, and gourmet food stations (tickets $95).
- Steak, whiskey, massage — Bourbon Steak in the Four Seasons offers dads a free rocks glass and a cocktail with a "Gentleman's Facial" or any other spa service (prices vary).
