- Here's who appears on track to advance to the general election in key races and who looks to have won outright.
Hillsborough
County Commission, District 3: Incumbent commissioner Gwen Myers appears to have defeated Democratic challenger Twanda Bradley to face Republican Luiz Garcia in the general.
County Commission, District 5: Stacy Hahn is on track to clinch the Republican nomination over incumbent Commissioner Donna Cameron Cepeda for the countywide seat.
- She will face Democrat Neil Manimala in the general.
County Commission, District 7: Aileen Rodriguez is on track to clinch the Democratic nomination and face Joshua Wostal, who is seeking re-election to the countywide seat, in November.
School Board Member District 2: Longtime educator Daniela Simic and attorney Brittany Lyssy appear headed to a runoff for this district, which spans South Tampa and Riverview.
School Board Member District 6: Incumbent Karen Perez and Kenneth Gay, a retired educator, appear headed to a runoff.
State Senator District 16: House Minority Leader Rep. Fentrice Driskell is on track to defeat state Rep. Michele Rayner and succeed the term-limited Darryl Rouson in the state Senate.
State Representative, District 62: Kyandra Darling is on track to defeat Wengay "Newt" Newton in this universal primary.
State Representative, District 63: Democrats Jacqueline Coffie-Leeks and Robin Lockett are headed to a runoff, according to unofficial results.
Representative in Congress, District 12: Kimberly Overman clinched the Democratic nomination to face incumbent U.S. Rep. Gus M. Bilirakis (R) in November, per the Associated Press.
Representative in Congress, District 14: Republicans chose former state Rep. Mike Beltran to challenge U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor for this redrawn district in November, the AP reports.
Representative in Congress, District 15: Robert People clinched the Democratic nomination to face incumbent U.S. Rep. Laurel Lee (R) in the general, per AP.
Pinellas
County Commission District 4: Incumbent commissioner and chair Dave Eggers is on track to be re-elected to his seat, which represents Tarpon Springs and East Lake south to Dunedin and Safety Harbor.
School Board Member District 2: Incumbent Lisa Cane, who runs the nonprofit Tampa Bay Performing Arts Academy, looks to have defeated last-minute challenger Nancy Velardi to retain her seat.
School Board Member District 3: Incumbent Dawn Peters and consultant and speaker Curtis Campogni, a first-time candidate, appeared headed to a runoff in the Nov. 3 general election.
School Board Member District 6: Project manager Amanda Lord and former School Board member and county commissioner Nelis Bostock were separated by just 140 votes, within the margin for a recount.
St. Pete City Council, District 6: Linsey Grove, a nonprofit consultant, and Trevor Mallory, president of a homebuyer assistance nonprofit, appeared headed to a runoff in the Nov. 3 general election.
