The Tampa Bay Rays released renderings showing what office space could like in the team's proposed stadium district in Tampa.
Why it matters: It's the latest push by team leaders to hype up the plan as Tampa officials waver on their support to help fund the project.
- The team is working with Hillsborough County officials on ways to finance the project without city funding.
The latest: Tampa City Council members on Thursday for the second time elected to delay a planned vote on financing, the Tampa Bay Times reported.
- Council member Bill Carlson, who initiated the vote, said the Rays haven't done enough to include the Council in negotiations.
State of play: The plan includes a "state-of-the-art office complex" with "collaborative workspaces, elevated amenities, sky terraces and rooftop gardens," the team said in a news release.
- CEO Ken Babby touted "early interest" from Fortune 500 companies based in Tampa and elsewhere.
