St. Pete weekend events: Ice cream fest, back-to-school bashes

We've still got a few more days until the weekend, but here are some events in and around St. Pete to look forward to.

🍦 Tampa Bay Ice Cream Festival, St. Pete: Rescheduled from last week due to weather, this free fest will feature local vendors peddling sweet treats and competing for awards, including People's Choice.

• Sunday, 11am-8pm, Family Park at the St. Pete Pier.

🎄 Christmas in July Craft Show, Seminole: Start your holiday shopping early with 40 vendors selling crafts, jewelry, decor, food and more.

• Saturday, 9am-2pm, City of Seminole Recreation Department (9100 113th St. N).

🎒 Back-to-school bashes, St. Pete: With Pinellas County's new school year beginning Aug. 11, community organizations are hosting supply giveaways, health fairs and more. Coming up this weekend:

• Bright Futures Expo: Back-to-School & Wellness Day: Saturday, 4-7pm, at the Frank Pierce Recreation Center.
• Back-to-School Carnival: Saturday, 10am, at St. Pete Hubs (3773 Central Avenue).
• Back-to-School Care Fair: Saturday, 8am-noon, at the Johnnie Ruth Clarke Center.
