Giant rubber duck arrives in Clearwater

"Mama Duck" — a six-story inflatable public art piece — is now on display at Coachman Park in downtown Clearwater.

Also on display, following a tour of pop-up events at Clearwater libraries and businesses last month, is Mama's baby, 10-foot-tall "Timmy."

The massive duck heralds a month of events at the park, including a craft market and a 5K that were held over the weekend. Still to come:

Rubber Ducky's Birthday Bash: Enjoy children's music from Jack Hartmann and Mr. Brad, plus a petting zoo, bounce houses, face painting, crafts and vendors. Jan. 17, 10am-2pm.
Scenes on the Green: Attend a screening of "Migration," a 2023 PG-rated animated movie about a family of ducks. Jan. 23, 5-8 pm.

Then there's the main event:

Duck 'n' Drive Jeep Invasion: This Jeep festival features a Phil Collins tribute band, axe throwing, food trucks, a beer garden and more. Reserve a spot to show off your ride here. Jan. 24, 10am-4pm.
