Poll: Do you like the Lightning stadium's new name?

The Lightning's home stadium is Amalie Arena no longer.

Meet Benchmark International Arena.

State of play: The team announced what it described as a "multi-year naming rights partnership" on Wednesday with Benchmark International, a Tampa-based global mergers and acquisitions firm.

What they're saying: "Benchmark International is a well-respected brand with global reach and strong ties to the Tampa Bay community," Steve Griggs, CEO of Lightning owner Vinik Sports Group, said in a press release.

Flashback: The stadium debuted in 1996 as the Ice Palace and has since been called the St. Pete Times Forum and Tampa Bay Times Forum.

It has been Amalie Arena, named after Tampa-based Amalie Oil Company, since 2014.
