Everglazed brings gourmet donuts to Carrollwood

👋 Hey, Yacob here. Over the past few weeks, I've watched Everglazed Donuts amble into Carrollwood, even making the mistake (more than once) of trying to pull into their not-yet-open drive-thru.

Why it matters: It's open now.

State of plate: The gourmet donut shop, which proudly calls itself "Florida born and glazed," first opened in 2021 at Disney Springs, before making its way to Tampa's Sparkman Wharf and now Carrollwood.

Everglazed offers an assortment of classic and "funky" donuts, hand-battered chicken tenders and coffee to wash it all down.

Best bites: I tried the towering Cookies and Creme donut, which is topped with crushed Oreos, and the Ube donut, a foam-like, purple confection made from yams.

I made it halfway through the donuts. Both were delicious, but each had enough sugar to stock a candy store.

Five-word review: My bloodstream is syrup now.
