Tampa, St. Petersburg weekend events: Ice cream fest, Girls Rock concert

We've scooped up the best events to put some fun in your weekend.

🍦 Tampa Bay Ice Cream Festival, St. Pete: There isn't much to enjoy about Florida summers, but there is ice cream. More than 30 vendors will be peddling up gelato, soft serve and fresh scoops at this free, fifth-annual event on the St. Pete Pier.

Sunday, 11am-8pm.

🍵 MatchaFest Tampa, Ybor City: We're more of the coffee and Celsius types, but matcha is definitely having a moment right now. This "celebration of matcha culture" on The Cuban Club's outdoor patio will include drinks, infused baked goods and art vendors.

Saturday, noon-5pm. Buy tickets ($14.37) here.

🤘 Girls Rock Concert 2025, St. Pete: If you don't know about Girls Rock camp, you should. At this showcase at Jannus Live, cheer on 10 bands made up of Girls Rock campers who only just met this week.

Saturday, 6pm. Buy tickets ($20 adults, $10 kids and free kids 10 and under) here.

💒 Tampa Summer Wedding Expo, Tampa: As we learned from Yacob, modern-day wedding planning is HARD. This free expo at Brio Italian Grille at International Plaza and Bay Street will include wedding inspo, ideas and local vendors.

🌊 Beach Clean Up & Paddle, Sarasota: Join Vital Surf Gear for this fourth-annual group paddle and litter sweep, starting at the kayak launch at 8918 Midnight Pass Road.

Bring your own kayak or paddleboard or rent from a vendor, plus bring sunscreen and trash-collecting tools. Trash bags will be provided. Plus: free bagels!
Saturday, 9am-noon.
