Where to celebrate the Fourth of July in Tampa Bay

Boom by the Bay: This year's Boom by the Bay, organized by the City of Tampa, will encompass celebrations at Armature Works, Sparkman Wharf and the Riverwalk.

• You can expect firework displays, boat parades, live music and a hot dog-eating competition across the three events, which take place from 4-10 pm on Friday.

4th of July Celebration: Busch Gardens is hosting Independence Day celebrations from Friday to Sunday, complete with fireworks, a drone show, live performances and free beer samples.

• The celebrations are included with park admission.

The Fourth: Food trucks will line the St. Pete Pier for its Independence Day celebration that features a craft beer garden, live music, roaming entertainers and more.

• Friday, 4-9:30pm.

Clearwater Celebrates America: You can expect a performance from the Coachman Pops Orchestra and a silent disco at the City of Clearwater's annual Fourth of July celebration.

• Friday, from 5-9:45pm.

Of note: Fireworks are allowed in Florida on three annual holidays, one of which is the Fourth of July.

• Legality aside, public safety officials stress that the safest way to watch fireworks on Independence Day is at a permitted, professional show.
