How to celebrate the end of hurricane season

What they're saying: "We all deserve a night to let loose and enjoy the people who have supported us over these last few months!!" wrote organizers of one upcoming celebration in Indian Rocks Beach.

Fun fact: Key West marks the occasion each year by burning the red flag with a black square in the middle that signals a hurricane warning.

• They douse it in Conch Republic-distilled rum, because of course they do. Key West knows how to party.

Here's how Tampa Bay is celebrating:

🌊 Indian Rocks Beach: A few beach businesses are throwing a party with live music by local band Speak Easy, drinks from Grove Surf Cafe, food from Pajanos Pizza & Subs, after-hours shopping at Nekton Surf Shop and a local vendor market.

• Organizers will also hold a raffle with ticket sales to benefit local hurricane relief. 
• 6-9pm Saturday, Grove Surf Cafe

🏄 Sarasota: The dreaded harbinger of hurricanes Jim Cantore is set to emcee an auction for local hurricane relief at this end-of-season blowout party. Local breweries Calusa and Big Top will have beer on tap, along with food vendors, games and giveaways.

• 5-8pm Saturday, Compound Boardshop

🍻 Safety Harbor: After a rough few months, sometimes you just have to drink beer and listen to reggae music, and that's exactly what this low-key celebration is offering. Greg Roy and the Pressure Band will bring the jams along with Kona Big Wave beer specials and giveaways.
