Florida's transformation into a GOP stronghold acceleratedTuesday, with former President Trump on track to win the state by the largest margin in a presidential race since 1988.
He's also the first Republican nominee to carry Miami-Dade County since George H.W. Bush did so that year.
"Nearly all" of Florida moved right compared to 2020, including the Tampa Bay area, according to the Associated Press.
The shift right was the most pronounced in Miami-Dade: 18 percentage points.
