Steph Curry had an incredible first Olympics, to say the least.
Why it matters: The Warriors point guard helped lead Team USA men's basketball to a gold medal after 98-87 win against France.
Catch up quick: Curry, who missed previous Olympics in part due to injury, was crucial for Team USA both in the gold medal game and the semifinal against Serbia, where he scored 36 points to bring them back from a 17-point deficit.
- The Olympics reunited him with former Warriors teammate Kevin Durant and Lakers rival LeBron James.
- Warriors head coach Steve Kerr led the team.
What they're saying: "Steph earned this the last few weeks," Kerr told the Olympic Channel following the gold medal game. "It's not an accident they are able to do what they do down the stretch ... I actually wanted to say to him 'take a day off' because the work he has put in was incredible."
- James put it perfectly after the semifinal win against Serbia: "Chef Curry with a vintage chef Curry game."
