The Spurs Coyote makes bank, per an analysis of the highest-paid mascots in 2025.
By the numbers: The report says the Spurs' mascot earns about $200,000 a year — more than Gov. Greg Abbott, who makes nearly $154,000.
Still, Coyote's handsome package lags behind mascots like the Denver Nuggets' Rocky the Mountain Lion ($625K), the Atlanta Hawks' Harry ($600K), the Chicago Bulls' Benny ($400K) and the Philadelphia Flyers' Gritty ($250K).
How it works: Online gambling reviewer, GamblingSites, collected mascot salary information from sports job boards and media outlets, including Sports Illustrated.
Reality check: It's not like Coyote has presidential ambitions, so we're not expecting him to release his annual tax returns.
The bottom line: Looks like we're in the wrong business.
