Míra Matcha opening storefront in Government Hill

Míra Matcha is the local truck that's arguably been at the forefront of matcha's explosion in popularity around San Antonio. It's housed at the Broadway News food truck park and sells at Pearl's weekend markets.

The latest: Now, Míra is going "matcha to mortar," opening a storefront in Government Hill. It's taking over the space at 1931 N. New Braunfels Ave. that most recently housed Alebrije Bakery.

What to try: An iced matcha latte with lavender and honey ($8). It's earthy with a hint of sweetness.

What's next: The new shop's grand opening is Oct. 25, 10am-1pm. The first 50 matchas will be free, and you can also look out for a live DJ and free matcha cookies and matcha conchas throughout the day.
