Readers, we told you last week about how the city of Tucson boldly claimed it's home to America's best Mexican food.
Zoom in: We wanted to know what San Antonio — a Tex-Mex mecca — had to say about that. Here's a sampling of your thoughts.Â
Rusty C.: "I have had 'discussions' with Californians about their Mexican food where they said that you had to go to California to get good Mexican food. I reminded them that San Antonio is world renowned for our Tex-Mex, which is different and special and my own preference."
"Capitalize on our Tex-Mex style and flavors and let Tucson and California and everyone else have their Mexican food. We all know what is best!"
Ginger R.: "San Antonio-Mex has its own unique taste, and is preferable to other cities' Tex-Mex offerings."
Sheree F.: "'Mexican' food is different in different cities in Texas, and it's quite different in Tucson. Even the 'Mexican' food in Phoenix is different from Tucson. Mexico is a large country with many different regions and food specialties."
Gilpatrick P.: "I think we should claim to have the best Tex-Mex in the world!"Â
