👋 Madalyn here with a community art installation to keep an eye out for the next time you're at Pearl.
Zoom in: "Resilience" by local artist Mauro de la Tierra is opening Pearl's summer series of murals.
The piece, featuring a hummingbird symbolizing freedom, is set up near The Plaza.
Pearl guests were able to add to the mural during a live painting.
What they're saying: "The elements in this mural highlight the essential qualities needed to thrive in challenging environments, mirroring the obstacles of life," de la Tierra said in a statement. "This installation celebrates the enduring spirit of San Antonio and the shared human experience."
What's next: "Resilience" will be on display through the end of June. The sister team, Manola and Maria, is on deck for the July installation, while The DoSeum is slated for August.
