Makeup enthusiasts across the country have a bit of Fiesta in their cosmetics bags thanks to Chica Beauty's newest eyeshadow palette released in partnership with Ipsy, a monthly beauty subscription service.

Why it matters: The inclusion of locally owned Chica Beauty in Ipsy's April glam bag heightens exposure for the brand and for San Antonio's most beloved tradition.

How it works: Ipsy subscribers pay a monthly fee of $14 to receive the glam box, which is a makeup bag packed with miniature versions of products.

  • Ipsy says the glam bag is the most popular option of the three subscription tiers.
  • The Fiesta palette joins a mascara, lip liner, leave-in conditioner and eye cream in the April bag.

Zoom in: The mini eyeshadow palette features nine shades inspired by San Antonio and its party, with colors like Pan Dulce, Cascar├│n, Churro, Boots and Stars at Night.

Yes, but: If makeup mavens don't have an Ipsy subscription, they can buy the palette online (currently on sale for $12) or at the SA Flavor store at 11255 Huebner Road.

What they're saying: Toni Lee Jimenez, who co-owns Chica Beauty with her sister Mei-Lon Jimenez, says the palette is a testament to how they work to honor their roots in their products.
