San Antonio's property tax sessions, running until May, help homeowners understand exemptions and protest property taxes.

How it works: During the sessions, homeowners will be able to apply for exemptions and learn how to lodge protests to the appraised values of their properties.

  • Bexar County Appraisal District employees will be at the sessions to answer questions and help guests file on-site.

Veronica Garcia, housing department director, says in a statement that the sessions will also help families apply for the 20 percent homestead exemption.

What's next: A session on March 20 at Pre-K 4 SA starts at 5pm.
