Student loan repayments could return

After a more than three-year pause, interest and repayments on student loans could resume as early as the end of summer.

Driving the news: Language in the federal debt ceiling bill would end the moratorium on interest and repayments on government-held federal student loans after Aug. 30, Politico reports.

Virginia colleges are raising tuitions again

Students at most of Virginia's public universities will be paying more for college come the fall semester.

What's happening: Tuition increases of at least 3% have been approved by the boards at nearly every public university in Virginia for the 2023-24 school year after four years of no or small increases due to the pandemic, per the Times-Dispatch.
