At long last, Richmond has its very own Dolly Parton mural

State of play: Dolly superfan Stephenie Harrington commissioned the tribute to the queen of country on the side of her Pine Street home in Oregon Hill.

• Local artist Jerro (aka Jered Fykes) is the man behind the Dolly tribute.

• He's been turning Harrington's house into a canvas since 2022, including past pieces inspired by NYC nightclub Studio 54, she tells Axios.

Zoom in: Harrington doesn't do Halloween halfway.

• For more than two decades, she's transformed her home into an elaborate spectacle to drum up support for her annual Toys for Tots toy drive and holiday fundraiser.
• Dolly herself inspired the party themes in 2014 and 2025.

What's next: The queen gets her official unveiling on Halloween, just ahead of the annual All the Saints Halloween Parade that marches right past Harrington's house.

• Harrington's theme this year is disco. Expect dancing in the street and a pirate-themed tiki bar in the backyard.
• The festivities continue Dec. 5 with Harrington's 21st annual Toys for Tots holiday bash at Basic City Beer Co.
