Don't let the temperatures this late week fool you, Richmond is in full fall mode this weekend with street festivals, pumpkin patches, haunted attractions and an entire celebration of wiener dogs (again!).
Friday
๐ฑ Terror on the Farm is back at Ashland Berry Farm with a haunted hayride and four haunted attractions, including Booger Woods and Voodoo: Blood & Bones. 7-10pm, through Halloween. $35-$40.
๐ฅ First Fridays gets extra weird at Gallery5 with the Carnival of 5 Fires, featuring fire performers, circus acts, DJs, vendors and more. 5-10pm. Free.
๐จ Stroll the Museum District Art Walk along Floyd Avenue, where local artists, makers and food vendors will set up between Colonial and Crenshaw avenues. 3-7pm. Free.
๐ก It's the last weekend for the State Fair. Gates open at 10am. Adult tickets start at $15, $32 with a ride wristband.
Saturday
๐ถ Cheer on some very fast wiener dogs at DachtoberFest, with dachshund races, costume contests, vendors and raffles at the Richmond Raceway. 9:30am-4pm. $10 in advance, $15 at the door.
๐ Your kids can climb all over big trucks at Touch-A-Truck at the Richmond Raceway. 9am-2pm. $12.
๐ท Sip your way through Powhatan's Festival of the Grape, and more than 30 Virginia wineries plus cider, beer, spirits, food and live music. 11am-6pm. $40 for adults.
๐ท The 2nd Street Festival returns to Jackson Ward for its 38th year, with live music, food, local artists and a Kidz Zone. Saturday, 11:30am-7pm; Sunday, noon-6pm. Free.
๐ค Turnpike Troubadours play Allianz Amphitheater with Muscadine Bloodline and The Creekers. 7pm. Tickets start at $54.75.
๐บ The Veil's Lager World Invitational brings lagers from breweries around the country to Scott's Addition for a tasting competition. Attendees pick the winners and get to enjoy special Veil releases. Noon-10pm. Free.
โฝ The Kickers host One Knoxville at 6pm โ and it doubles as an RVA Craft Beer Festival โย with free samples of 52 beers starting at 4:30pm while supplies last. Tickets start at $20.
Sunday
๐ฎ Richmond's Crystals & Mystics Festival brings crystal vendors, tarot readers, energy workers, jewelry, candles and other metaphysical goods to the Carillon lawn. Sunday, 11am-4pm. Free.
๐ป Party on the Avenues at Libbie and Patterson will have vendors, food trucks, beer, wine and live music from Full Moon Fever and the Bart Chucker Band. Noon-6pm. Free.
๐ ICYMI (we did, our bad!) Hanover Vegetable Farm and Chesterfield Berry Farm opened last weekend for their seasonal pumpkin picking and general fall fun, like corn mazes, hayrides and animals. Open daily. Prices vary.
