Thursday, Sept. 24
π¬ The Richmond International Film Festival continues with screenings, live music, panels and Q&As at venues around the city through Sunday. Times and prices vary.
ππ» Have the time of your life at "Dirty Dancing" at the Altria Theater through Sunday. Times vary. Tickets start at $36.
πΌοΈ Celebrate the opening of "Becoming" at The Branch Museum of Design, an exhibition exploring objects that have outlived their original uses but still hold meaning. 6-8pm. $10.
ποΈ Grammy-winning jazz singer Gregory Porter performs at the Carpenter Theater. 7:30pm. Tickets start at $59.
Friday, Sept. 25
π‘ The State Fair of Virginia opens Friday at Meadow Event Park in Doswell and runs through Oct. 4, with rides, food, livestock competitions, exhibits and entertainment. Gates open at 10am and rides at 11am. Adult tickets start at $15.
π¦ͺ The VMFA is hosting the "Art of Wine: RosΓ©, Bubbles & Oysters" in the Cochrane Atrium with unlimited wine tastings. 5:30-7pm. $85.
ππ»ββοΈ "Bieber and a Beat" brings an 18+ Justin Bieber dance party to the Broadberry. 9pm. Tickets start at $25.
Saturday, Sept. 26
π RVA Wing Wars returns for its third year, this time at CarMax Park, with local restaurants and food trucks battling for Richmond wing supremacy. Expect samples, live music and drinks. 2-6pm. Tickets start at $45
πΆ Richmond Animal League's annual Woofstock returns with a family- and pet-friendly festival at 4951 Lake Brook Drive. 11am-4pm. Free.
πΊ Raise a stein at Maymont's Bier-Garden with German food and beer, polka music and a wiener dog costume parade. Saturday-Sunday, 11:30am-7pm. $10 for adults, $6 for kids
πΊ The RVA East End Festival takes over 17th Street Market with Richmond Symphony musicians, RPS students, NO BS! Brass Band and more, raising money for arts programs at public schools in the East End. 11am-7pm. Free.
π² Get outside at Chesterfield Outdoor Fest at Pocahontas State Park, with a beer garden, food trucks, dog jumping and guided hikes. Noon-5pm. Free.

π Browse handmade art, jewelry and clothes from local vendors at Bingo Beer's Fall Fest. Noon-5pm. Free.
π¦ Monarch Migration Celebration at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden marks the monarchs' annual journey to Mexico with Hispanic cultural programming, DJ Ray, food trucks and activities β plus a final chance to see the garden's Alebrijes sculptures. 11am-3pm; included with garden admission.
