Inside an unassuming shopping center in Midlothian, there's a spot with nearly 1,400 ways to lose to your friends.
Why it matters: For $8 a person, you can play as many of those board games as you want — and feel like a kid again.
How it works: Unplugged Games Cafe is a bar and restaurant that doubles as a giant communal game closet, with shelves packed with everything from the classics — like Battleship and Monopoly — to quick party games and hours-long strategy ones.
- Each game is marked with the complexity level and average time it takes to finish it.
- The play pass lets guests stay as long as they want, and kids 12 and under play free with a paying adult.
The best part: You don't have to read the directions, or choose a game if overwhelmed by the options.
- The wonderfully friendly staff will bring over recommendations, help you set them up and teach you the rules.
Fun fact: Behind the bar, there's the NSFW options, including a Ladies Night Card Game that hilariously asks "which one of us will have the perkiest bosom at the age of 85?"
Plus: The menu, filled with chicken sandwiches, burgers, pretzel bites, mozz sticks and more, will hold you over for a game night snack. Nothing is over $12.
