Thursday
๐ Hang with Sabrina at Shelf Life Books as she interviews the author of "Murder Bites" โ and Axios D.C. reporter Mimi Montgomery about her new book. 7pm. Free.
๐ธ The Science Museum of Virginia is turning The Dome into a Rolling Stones laser show for 55-minute set synced to the band's classics hits. 6:30pm and 8:15pm. $15.
Friday
๐ฎ The Virginia Museum of History & Culture is hosting a "We the People Restaurant Showcase" celebrating Richmond chefs and restaurants with immigrant roots. There will be tastings from spots including Kobop, TBT El Gallo and La Bรชte, plus live music. 6-8pm. $95 nonmembers.
๐ NASCAR weekend kicks off at Richmond Raceway with the Black's Tire 250, a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. 7:30pm. Tickets start at $29.
Saturday
๐พ The Wiener Dog Races are back at Colonial Downs. 12:30pm. Free.
๐๏ธ NASCAR continues with the Cook Out 400, NASCAR Cup Series racing at Richmond Raceway. 7pm. Tickets start at $35.
โค๏ธ The 35th Down Home Family Reunion, "a celebration of African American folklife" is at Abner Clay Park. 4-11pm. Free.
๐ถ๏ธ There'a s Caribbean Jerk Fest at Kanawha Plaza with jerk chicken, doubles and roti alongside reggae, soca and calypso. Noon-8pm. $28.45.
๐ The International Dance Festival is at the Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen with more than 18 groups, live performances, dance workshops, global food, kids activities and a Parade of Cultures. 11am-5pm. Free.
๐ช A Mini Bluegrass Fest is at Pocahontas State Park with Josh Grigsby and County Line, Garden Variety String Band and David Wade and Black Mountain. 6-10pm. $20.
๐ฅ Go full Roaring '20s at Gatsby on the James at The Estate at River Run in Goochland. There will be jazz and swing, dancing, cocktails, hors d'oeuvres, a hidden speakeasy and more. 7:15-10:30pm. Tickets start at $219.
