If you don't feel like watching giant ships pull into Richmond this weekend, here's what else you can get into.
Friday, June 12
βΊοΈ The VMFA has its Shop Tent Sale with deals on books and home decor at the Robins Sculpture Garden. Friday-Saturday, 9am-3pm. Free.
ππ» The RVA Latino Festival is back at Sacred Heart Center on Perry Street with food, live music, a soccer tournament and dance performances. 7-11pm Friday, 1-11pm Saturday. Free.
π Dream Asia Festival is coming to Meadow Event Park in Doswell through Sunday with over 80 Asian food vendors, K-pop dance parties, experiences like the Squid Game Challenge and a petting zoo. Times vary. Single-day tickets start at $14.
β½οΈ Watch the USA vs. Paraguay game at City Stadium. First 1,000 fans get a World Cup Sticker Album. 7pm. Free but registration recommended.
π Eddie Griffin is at the Funny Bone Comedy Club in Short Pump. 7pm. $53.
Saturday, June 13
πΆ Furbish Thrift and Henrico Human Society have a "Big Ass*tronomical Adoption Bonanza" at the Richmond Raceway with over 100 dogs, puppies, cats and kittens from multiple local shelters. 11am-3pm. Adoption fees start at $10.
π³ River City Roll is hosting the first "Great Scott's Gathering," an outdoor community festival with a dunk tank, live music from The Crain Brothers and local vendors. 1-6pm. Free.
Sunday, June 14
π―οΈ Elegba Folklore Society has a "Juneteenth, A Freedom Celebration" that includes "Dancing with the Ancestors" at the African Burial Ground at Broad and 15th Streets. 2-7pm. Free but wearing white is encouraged.
ποΈ Na Nin on South Addison is having its annual warehouse sale with discounted items from local small businesses, like Odd Bird and Sun & Selene, and flash tattoos. 10am-3pm. Free.
