Here's what you can get into this Mother's Day weekend in RVA.
Friday
π The Richmond Hot Air Balloon Festival is taking over Doswell's Meadow Event Park, offering tethered balloon rides and a nightly glow show, plus DJs and food and craft vendors. 5pm Friday and Saturday. Adult admission is $44.52.
π» Pop over to Benchtop Brewing in Manchester and try their Star Wars-inspired "smooth, dark and dangerously drinkable" Disturbance In the Schwarz brew. Tastes like revenge and daddy issues. Brewery open every day but Mondays.
Saturday
πΊ Church Hill Spring Fest is back at Libby Hill Park with music, dozens of vendors and food trucks. Noon-5pm. Free.
π§π»ββοΈ Decompress at Rest Fest at Dogwood Dell with yoga, meditations, breathwork, reflections and a song circle. 10am-8pm. Tickets start at $22.
π€ Pocahontas Premieres, a music series at Pocahontas State Park, kicks off its new season with "American Idol" alum, Richmonder and country singer Carrie Brockwell. 7-10pm. $20.
ποΈ An interior design symposium and trade show β "Fancy This! Celebrating 250 Years of American Style"Β βΒ is happening all day at the Virginia Museum of History & Culture. Doors at 10am. $259.77, includes lunch.
π "Imagining Best Products" opens at The Branch Museum of Design. The exhibit explores the experimental, architectural design that helped shape the Richmond-based store. Runs through June 21. $10 museum admission.
πΌοΈ "India's Great Mughals: Art, Power and Opulence," an exhibit featuring 200 objects from 16th- and 17-century India, opens at VMFA. Runs through Aug. 23. Adult tickets are $12.
Sunday
π· Agecroft Hall & Gardens is once again offering free admission to the gardens for Mother's Day. Noon-5pm. Free.
ποΈ Take mom to the Museum District Association's Mother's Day House & Garden Tour and wander through strangers' well-decorated homes (and gardens). 1-6pm. $33.85.
π« It's the last weekend to stop by Richmond's Stone Brewing tasting room before it closes on May 14. Open noon-9pm. Live jazz on Sunday.
