St. Patrick's Day was so good the first time that Richmond is celebrating yet again this weekend.
The best part: It's happening as spring is officially starting.
Thursday, March 19
🌌 GalaxyCon is back at the Greater Richmond Convention Center through Sunday. Times vary per day. Single tickets start at $45 and 3-day passes at $150.
👹 GWAR is at The National with its "Gor Gor Strikes Back" tour. 7:30pm. Sold out, but resale tickets are available for $138.04.
Friday, March 20
🌀 The Science Museum has "Storm Chaser," where you can learn how extreme weather works, generate wind, see weather patterns in an astronomy show and chat with a local meteorologist. 5-8pm. $18.50 for adults.
☘️ Hardywood West Creek is having a "Shamrock Sendoff Party" with a Richmond Irish band called the Donny Brooks. 5-9pm. Free.
🎭 There's a "Chuckle Smugglers Stand Up Comedy" night with local comedians at Black Iris Social Club in the Arts District. 8-9:30pm. $8.
🍻 Benchtop Brewing on Hull Street also has a comedy showcase, but this one is St. Patrick's Day-themed. 8-10pm. $8.
🎤 R&B singer Trey Songz is performing his hometown concert at VSU in Petersburg. 8:30pm. Tickets start at $54.
Saturday, March 21
🇮🇪 It's the day we've all been waiting for: The 40th Annual Church Hill Irish Festival, which runs through Sunday, at 25th and Broad. 10am. $5 donation.
🎀 The Hello Kitty Cafe Truck will be at Short Pump Town Center selling limited-edition merch. 10am-7pm. Free.
⚽️ The Richmond Kickers have their first game of the season against FC Naples. 6pm. Tickets start at $20.
🏡 Maymont is having an open house and garden party to celebrate the reopening of the Maymont Mansion after a two-year restoration. 10am-4pm. Free.
Sunday, March 22
🌸 Welcome spring in at Lakeside Farmers' Market's "Spring Fling," which will have a food truck, music and local vendors. 11am-3pm. Free.
