Carytown shops hiding gift cards for St. Patrick's Day

Richmonders will have a chance to get lucky in Carytown on St. Patrick's Day. Fifty chances, in fact.
Driving the news: InUnison, the group that reps local businesses, will hide $15 gift cards near participating local retailers on Tuesday.
- Participating stores include including consignment stores Ashby, Clementine and Clover, plus Lucky Road Run Shop and World of Mirth.
- InUnison will make two drops Tuesday, at 10am and 4pm.
- Gift cards will be hidden inside and outside of the participating stores, so keep your eyes peeled throughout the day and pay special attention to doorways, planters and benches.
Zoom out: The gift card giveaway is part of the business association's "You're In Luck When You Shop Local" campaign, which hopes to raise awareness of the group's Find Local Club.
- The free club gives members access to limited-time discounts and deals, includes ones available on St. Patrick's Day.
What they're saying: "There's often a push to shop local during the holiday season, but this is a fun way to remind shoppers of the buying power they have year-round," InUnison VP Diana McMahon said in a statement.
The bottom line: If you're feeling lucky, Carytown might be the place to shop Tuesday.
