It's finally the weekend and it's going to be in the high 70s in Richmond. So we recommend getting outside.
Thursday, March 5
🍵 "Beauty and the Beast" is at the Altria Theater through Sunday. Times vary. Tickets start at $53.10.
🎪 The Diamond on Arthur Ashe has the Garden Brothers Nuclear Circus, which features over 60 performers and the Human Cannonball, through Sunday. Tickets start around $36 for adults.
Friday, March 6
😋 Enjoy some "Lunch on the Block" in front of City Hall, where at least nine food trucks will be posted up. 11am. Free until you buy something.
🎶 Richmonder Butcher Brown and Nate Smith are playing at the National. 8pm. Tickets start at $41.72.
🛋️ If you're ready to spruce up your home for spring, the Richmond Home + Garden Show runs through Sunday at the Richmond Raceway. Hours vary. $7 in advance.
Saturday, March 7
🏃🏻♀️ It's time for the River City Half and 5K! It runs (no pun intended) from 8am-12:30pm. Check out the road closures here.
🍷 The wine tasting portion of the Virginia Wine Expo — the Walk-Around Grand Tasting— is all day Saturday and Sunday at Main Street Station. Tickets start at $94 for Saturday afternoon and $69 for Sunday.
☕️ The Richmond Coffee Festival is at the Greater Richmond Convention Center with a cold brew competition and a performance from Plunky and Oneness on Saturday. 9am-4pm. $25 for a Saturday pass, about $15 for a Sunday pass.
🐿️ The Richmond Flying Squirrels are back with Nutzy's Block Party in the parking lot of CarMax Park with live music and a sneak peek at the new ballpark. 10am-1pm. Free.
🦁 Have a little drag brunch at Gold Lion on Hull Street with the Powder Pop Girls. 1pm. $5 at the door.
🌍 Passion Community Church in Midlo is having its first International Festival with food, art and music. 1-3pm. Free.
🥾 Go take a 1.5-mile hike in Powhatan State Park to catch the woodland wildflowers. 2-3pm. Free but you can register here.
😎 Richmond Family Magazine's Summer Camps & Activities Expo is at the Science Museum of Virginia for folks looking for kids' summer camp ideas. 1-4pm. Free.
Sunday, March 8
🤤 Mobile Soul Sunday, the kick-off event for Richmond Black Restaurant Experience, is celebrating 10 years of highlighting the region's incredible Black-owned restaurants and food.
- Sunday's event will bring more than 30 food trucks to Monroe Park. Noon-5pm. Free.
🦀 There's a Vegan Seafood Pop-up at Strangeways Brewing in Scott's with "crabby cakes, lobsta mac, crabby spring rolls" and more. Noon-4pm. Free.
🍪 Intermission Beer Company in Glen Allen is hosting a Girl Scout cookie and beer pairing event, where $18 gets you a flight of five beers and five Girl Scout cookies. What a steal. 2:00-5:30pm.
💃🏻 The Veil Brewing Co. in Scott's Addition is having Latin Sunday with salsa, bachata, mambo and more. 4-8pm. $5 cash or Venmo.
