The weekend has arrived. Here's whats on tap in Richmond.
Thursday
👅 Starr Hill Brewery in Scott's Addition is hosting Smut Trivia for all your dirty-minded literary types. 7-9pm. Free.
🏒 Speaking of smut, Dinner Party in Carytown is getting in on the "Heated Rivalry" fun with a themed wine tasting. They'll be "pouring wines inspired by Shane, Ilya and The Cottage" (iykyk). 5-7pm. Free.
Friday
🤠 Cowboy Cannolis, a social media sensation who wanders the country handing out cannolis, will be at Conex RVA ( 7-8:30pm) and Scotty's Taphouse (9-10:30pm). The cannolis are free. The experience is priceless.
🐑 It's also the last weekend of VCU Homecoming. Studio Two Three has "Sip & Spin: Lessons in Style" to celebrate the alumni "making waves in fashion."
- There's also a chance to screen print your own clothes. 6-10pm. $12.
Saturday
💻 There's a PowerPoint party at Gramophone Winery on Forest Hill, attempting to prove that PowerPoint can be fun. 6-8pm. Free.
- Presenters create a PowerPoint and judges (including Karri) judge them.
🕹️ There's a RetroSwap at The Answer Brewpub with swaps of vintage arcade games and live game playing. Noon-5pm. Free.
🦦 It's World Wildlife Day at Maymont with animal talks, feedings and a screening of "Teach Me To Be Wild." 10am-4pm. $10 for adults, $6 for kids.
🎸 Fleetwood Mac tribute band Rumours ATL plays The National. 8pm. $37.60.
🎶 "You Belong Here!" at the ICA is an R&B night, and another VCU Homecoming event, with local DJs, specialty cocktails and an open bar from 8-10pm. 8pm-midnight. $50.
Sunday
🗽 It's opening weekend for "Dissent! Liberty & Loyalty in Early Richmond" at The Valentine. Ongoing. Museum admission is $12, but the exhibit is free on Sunday.
- The exhibit focuses on Richmond in the decades around the American Revolution and runs through Jan. 31, 2027.
👰 The Greater Virginia Bridal Show is taking over the Richmond Convention Center, showcasing all things wedding trends. 1-5pm. Advanced tickets are $15.
