It's a long and packed Valentine's Day weekend in Richmond.
Here's where to celebrate with your favorite people.
Thursday, Feb. 12
💘 The city of Richmond is opening up their Instagram stories from noon-7pm for people to share their "RVA missed connection" and then sharing some of the submissions on Friday. (Imagine saying your local government helped you find love.)
💋 The SPCA's dog kissing booth is back with a photographer, mocktails and adoptable pups. 4-7pm. Suggested donation of $10.
🗣️Ashland Branch Library is getting romantic and having storytellers read professions of love found in literature. 6-7pm. Free.
🕵🏼♀️ If murder mysteries are more your vibe, Mugshot Coffee in Midlo wants your detective skills to find the "killer." 6-8:30pm. $18.91.
📖 Listen to the "Untold Stories of African Americans in Hanover County" at Hanover Tavern. 7-8:30pm. Free but reservations appreciated.
🎪 Head to the Do Portugal Circus, which is in town behind the Diamond until Feb. 22. Times vary. Tickets start at $30 for anyone 13 and up.
Friday, Feb. 13
🎭 The Children's Museum of Richmond in Chesterfield is having a Mardi Gras parade. 2-4pm. Free.
🎸 Rock band NEEDTOBREATHE is performing at the Altria Theater. 7:30pm. Tickets start at $53.10.
🎤 Väsen's Scott's Addition location is having "Heated Rivalry" karaoke, where anyone who sings a song will get a chance to win tickets to "Heated Rivalry" night at The National on V-Day. 7pm.
💐 Quirk Hotel's Lobby Bar is having a Galentine's Day pop-up with a photobooth, rose and prosecco flights, plus rom coms playing in the background. 5-10pm. Free, but reserve a spot.
Saturday, Feb. 14
🕯️ Ours Community Center on West Main in the Fan has a Valentine's Market with candles, flowers, focaccia and more. Noon-2pm. Free.
👯 Mamacita's Sports Cantina in Shockoe has a hip-hop and R&B bingo night complete with a celebrity couple look-alike contest. 5pm. $25.
🤫 The Valentine museum is having a "Silent Valentine" party, which is basically a silent disco with "romantic tunes." There will also be V-Day cocktails. 7-10pm. $14.15.
🤣 Benchtop Brewing on Hull Street is having an "LOLentine" stand-up comedy night. 8pm. $8.
🏒 As mentioned above: The National has "Heated Rivalry" night, hosted by national touring party brand, Club 90s. 9pm. Tickets start at $34.50.
Sunday, Feb. 15
💅🏼 There's another Galentine's Day market at Hardywood's Ownby Lane location with all local women-owned businesses. Noon-5pm. Free.
🎉 Get Tight Lounge in the Fan is having a Mardi Gras party with Pay Rent Brass Band and king cakes. 1pm. Free.
🪩 Harry's at the Hof is having its usual Sunday day party, but this time, with Valentine's Day decor and feel-good R&B. 4-10pm. $12.51.
