Baby goat snuggling season is almost here in Virginia

State of play: Caromont Farm, a cheese farm just outside of Charlottesville, has made goat snuggling an early-spring tradition for Virginians and baby-goat lovers alike.

• The sessions run every weekend in March and April, when the usually February-born kids — the term for baby goats — are in need of extra hugs from humans willing to give them.
• This year, "quite a few" of the kids arrived just as the winter storm rolled through, per the farm's social media.

• "Small businesses are taking a hit with this cold and ice," she says.

How it works: Goat snuggles are $17 for 30 minutes per person.

• All you have to do is sign up and show up.
• Plus, you can add an optional trio cheese basket to enjoy with your snuggles for just $25.
