Here's what's on tap in Richmond for the weekend.
Friday
🕺 Jam out to covers of alt-rock hits from 1996 at The Broadberry with its "The Blizzard of 1996" show. 9pm. $22.26.
🎪 SOUL Aerial & Performing Arts Center is putting on a aerial cirque production of "Alice in Wonderland" at Dominion Energy Center. Friday-Sunday. Times vary. Tickets start at $32.10.
📸 Famed photographer Jamel Shabazz, whose work is featured in the "Giants" exhibit, will be at the VMFA taking about his artistic journey and experience photographing Black youth. 6:30-7:30pm. $8.
Saturday
🔍 Get inside the Virginia Museum of History & Culture vault and peep their rare artifacts and manuscripts. 3pm. $5, plus museum admission.
🍕 There's a pizza and dance party at the Stony Point Fashion Park ice skating rink. 4-6pm. $16 for skate rentals.
🎿 Check out Conex Ski Lodge, the new winter theme for shipping container Carver hotspot Conex RVA. Expect ski lodge decor, themed cocktails and lots of fire pits. Ongoing through February. Free.
🎬 The Israeli & Jewish Film Festival kicks off Thursday and runs through next Sunday at various venues around town. The festival features six films focused on Jewish and Israeli culture. Tickets start at $18 per film or $115 for an all-access pass.
Sunday
🛠️ The Greater Richmond Home Show is taking over the Convention Center on Saturday and Sunday if you want to check out the latest in home design and renovation. 10am-5pm (till 8pm on Sat.). Free admission with advance registration or $10 at the door.
🛍️ There's a BIG GAY Flea-For-All happening at the First Unitarian Universalist Church near the Carillon where you can find local art and vintage items. Everything is $20 or less. 1-5pm. Free.
