Richmonders can get free or discounted Ubers and Lyfts this month

Driving the news: Responsibility.org and the Virginia Restaurant, Lodging & Travel Association are partnering to offer $15 Uber vouchers for use this weekend.

• They're good for trips that start or end within city limits from Friday to Sunday, 4pm-3am.
• Anyone over the age of 21 can download the voucher here.

Zoom in: Allen & Allen law firm is also back with its annual Sober Ride Home effort — a $25 Lyft pass — for New Year's Eve.

• This Friday and next, Allen & Allen will post an Instagram story on how to get the Lyft pass code.
• It will do it once more on Tuesday, Dec. 30.
• The code will be valid from 11pm on NYE to 6am on New Year's Day.

By the numbers: The law firm plans to give out 200 codes, according to a press release.

• Since launching in 2013, the program's codes have helped over 2,300 people, per the firm.

The bottom line: Take the sober ride home.
