Bar-Q now has Sunday brunch with a massive $25 breakfast burrito.
Why it matters: Its Monster Burrito is so big, it could feed you for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Driving the news: The barbecue spot on the corner of Main and Robinson launched its Sunday brunch at the end of August.
- And I finally got to try it.
A sneak peek of the menu: Fruity Pebbles French Toast ($12), giant crispy fatcakes ($8-$14), beef brisket with eggs Benedict on an English muffin ($15) and breakfast tacos with your choice of brisket, pork belly or potato ($4-$8).
- Plus: Pop-tarts as a side ($5) and mimosa flights ($15).
Yes, but: The highlight is the Monster Burrito, which is served with queso and stuffed with brisket, sausage, bacon, homefries, egg cheese and pico de gallo for $25.
- The cheesy, meaty behemoth lives up to its name, and consuming the gut-buster might as well be a Richmond food challenge.
- But the smokiness of the brisket, the salty crunch of the bacon and the creaminess of the queso dip makes it so you can't help but keep taking a bite.
Pro tip: Warm up the half you don't finish in the air fryer.
- And cancel your Sunday plans after consumption, unless the plans are taking a nap.
