Richmond's Beet Box gets Homegrown cocktail pop-ups

Your next cocktail might just come from a local smoothie place — for now.

What's happening: Beet Box has been teaming up with its sister brand, Homegrown, for weekly pop-up events that include drink specials and music from local DJs.

It's their way of introducing Homegrown to people ahead of it opening up inside Richmond's airport early next year, Ashley Lewis, the founder of both concepts, tells Axios.
While Beet Box is known for its juices, smoothies and wraps, Homegrown will be a cocktail bar and marketplace, Lewis says.
Both will have locations inside Concourse A.

Zoom in: The pop-ups started with "Homegrown Thursdays," where people can get craft cocktails (and mocktails) from 7-11pm.

What's next: Beet Box's Cary Street location will have "Pop, Shop & Drop It" on Saturday from 5-9pm with $7 drink specials and Sunday from noon-5pm, where you can shop from local designers.
