Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are coming to Richmond next month

State of play: The couple will appear at a party to kick off the Richmond opening of their traveling exhibition, "Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys."

• The collection includes over 130 works from Black artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat and Kehinde Wiley, who also created the "Rumors of War" monument that stands outside the VMFA.
• Also on display: Keys' first piano and Beatz' first drum machine.

What to know: Tickets go live Tuesday at noon on the VMFA site, or in-person at the museum ($100, 21+).

• The party is Nov. 18, 7pm-midnight.
• The exhibit itself opens Nov. 22 and runs through March 1.
