Fall Richmond Restaurant Week kicks off this week

Richmond Restaurant Week — the twice-a-year event that supports the local food bank — is back.

Why it matters: It's your chance to once again feast on a three-course meal at some of Richmond's hottest restaurants for a fixed price.

State of play: There are 27 participating restaurants for the fall edition, which runs through Sunday.

Per usual, each has put together a special, multi-course menu for the occasion — for $35.25 per person (not including tax and tip).
$5.25 goes to Feed More.

Zoom in: Some of the menus that caught our eye this time around include:

Stock in Manchester's Schnitzel, " Gooouda" smash burger, and (impossible to pronounce but undoubtedly delicious) Nordic desserts like Småkakor and Aebleskiver.
Acacia Midtown at Libbie Mill is cooking up entrees like crab cakes, scallops and lamb shank.
And Pinky's in Scott's Addition has all gluten-free options, including crispy chicken piccata and vegan squash puttanesca as entrees.
