Virginia Pride Fest and the State Fair are back this weekend

It's a great weekend to live in Richmond, have Pride and eat funnel cake. Let's get into it.

Thursday, Sept. 25

🎸 Young the Giant is performing at The National. 7:30pm. Tickets start at $65.

🎤 Alex Warren, the artist behind Richmond's song of the summer, is at the Allianz Amphitheater. 8pm. Tickets start at $50.

Friday, Sept. 26

⏮️ Uptown Alley in Midlo has "RNB Rewind Night" with songs from the 1990s and early 2000s. 8pm-1am. $20.

💃🏻 SCRAP RVA is celebrating their one year anniversary with a drag show in Brookland Park. 8:30pm. $5.

Saturday, Sept. 27

🎡 The State Fair of Virginia, located in Doswell's Meadow Event Park, is here until Oct. 5 for all the fried food you can eat. 10am-9pm. Adults pay $20 on the weekends, $16 on weekdays.

🏳️‍🌈 Pride Fest is back at Midtown Green for the state's largest LGBTQ festival, featuring performers, drag queens, food music and more. Noon-8pm. Free.

🍻 If you haven't gotten enough of Oktoberfest, there's one at Triple Crossing Beer in Fulton. Noon-5pm. $20

🐶 There's also Barktoberfest at Ruff Canine Club with a pretzel eating contest. Noon-8pm. Free.

🥳 RVA East End Festival, which benefits Richmond schools in the East End, will be indoors at MLK Jr. Middle School with food trucks, live music and more. Noon-7pm. Free.

🐝 Chesterfield Bee Festival is on at the Chesterfield County Fairgrounds with bee demos, honey tastings, native plants, live music, food trucks and more. 10am-3pm. Free.

Sunday, Sept. 28

🤤 Veg out at Byrd Park's Richmond VegFest, which will have over 100 vegan-friendly vendors. Noon-6pm. Free.

🛍️ Celebrate Pride once again at Carytown's "Local Pride" market with some shopping and sweets from local bakers. Noon-5pm. Free.
