The Fan is getting a cat cafe in the spring

The big picture: Purrfect Bean is set to open in April at 214 N. Lombardy St., owner Michelle Langham tells Axios.

• The all-vegan and sober space will feature coffee from Afterglow Coffee Cooperative and tea from The Spice & Tea Exchange of Richmond, both local shops.
• For the upstairs space, Purrfect's felines will all be adoptable kitties from local shelters who will very much be in need of some human attention.
• The spot will be Richmond's first cat cafe since Central Purrk closed its Shockoe Bottom space in 2019.
