The countdown to 2025 has begun, and who would we be if we didn't tell you where to ring in the new year in Richmond?
Note: All events are on Tuesday, Dec. 31, and 21+ unless stated otherwise.
Themed parties
Brambly Park's '90s-themed costume party, which has Jell-0 shots and party favors, is all about taking the costume contest very, very seriously. $500 cash prize. 9pm-1am. Tickets start at $24.
The Park's Mardi Gras party has a free 180-degree photo booth with music from DJs Markus Gold, Duffy and more. 8pm-2am. Tickets start at $25.
Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Midlo has the "Moonlight Masquerade" with live DJs, performers and a livestream of the Times Square ball drop. 8:30pm. Tickets start at $25.
Get Tight Lounge in the Fan is partying like it's 1992 with Hip Hop Henry playing hits from that year. $30.
Havana '59's "NYE Fiesta" is black-and-gold themed and will have everything from reggaeton and bachata to merengue. 8pm. $35.
GOLDWING on Arthur Ashe has cocktail lounge vibes and will have live jazz and a champagne toast at midnight. Black tie optional. 8pm-1am. Tickets start at $50.
Quirk Hotel's "A Regency Affair" is for the "Bridgerton" lovers who want to wear regency-era gowns and have tea sandwiches. 8pm-midnight. $55.
Gatsby Gala at the Hof in Scott's Addition is 1920s-themed and a charity event for FEED MORE. It'll also have live jazz and '20s-era cocktails. 8pm-1am. Tickets start at $75.
Hilton Richmond Hotel in Short Pump has a casino night with a countdown, a balloon drop, party favors and two drinks included. 8pm-1am. Tickets start at $199.
Dinner
The Roosevelt has a three-course menu at $85 per person. Reservations are available from 5:15pm-6:30pm as of Wednesday night.
Smoke & Barrel on West Main Street has a "Lucky NYE" dinner with four courses. 6-9pm (but they're opening it to the public from 9pm-2am). $100.
Live music
Lakeside Tavern's annual NYE party in Henrico has punk rock bands Cyber Twin and ShotClock. 7pm. $10 at the door.
The Camel has a "Cellar Dweller's NYE" with rock bands like Nancy Raygun and Flatspot. 9pm. $18.
The Broadberry has a yacht rock tribute band Three Sheets to the Wind, who dress like they're on a boat. 7pm. $25.
Rooftop
Kabana: On its final night before closing, the rooftop will have "The Black Tie Affair" with cash bars and a midnight toast. 9pm-2am. Tickets start at $35.
Bars and breweries
River City Roll has 2000s cover band Sold Separately playing throwbacks with a late-night menu available until 12:30am. 8pm. Free.
Buskey Cider has a "3-2-1" party, where the drinks end up being $1 each the closer you get to midnight. Plus, there's a balloon drop. Timing unclear. $20.
Fuzzy Cactus in Brookland Park has an "Italo-Disco Dance Party" with an hors d'ouerves buffet from 8-10pm. 7pm-2am. $20.
Ember Music Hall's "Afro-Carribean Edition" party will have Afrobeats, reggae and dancehall music with Afro-Carribean cuisine. 9pm. Tickets start at $20.
Hardywood on Ownby Lane has a Grateful Dead tribute band. 9pm-12:30am. $20.
Bingo Beer Co. in Scott's Addition has DJ Carter B, a digital selfie station, a balloon drop and one drink on them. 9pm-2am. $25
There's a New Year's Eve Bar Crawl that will include drink specials. Participating bars are kept secret but 3 Monkeys on West Main is included. 6-9pm with a secret afterparty afterward. Tickets range from $25-$30.
Southern Railway Taphouse in Shockoe has appetizers, a photo booth and a DJ. 8pm. $30 at the door.
Clubbier energy
New York Deli has three local DJs and isn't closing until 3am for NYE. 9pm. $10 cover at the door.
LOSO, formerly Jungle Room, will have New York-based TORIBIO DJing. Complimentary champagne is included with the ticket. 9pm-2am. $20.
