Richmond's holiday events this weekend: Boat parades, markets and more

Thursday, Dec. 12

🍻 Starr Hill is celebrating its five-year anniversary all weekend long, starting with a birthday beer release on Thursday, a holiday pageant on Friday (7-9pm), a Saturday holiday market (12-5pm) and a puppy party on Sunday at 2pm.

🎻 Listen to Christmas carols, like "Deck the Halls" and "Silent Night" via string quartet surrounded by candles at Bolling Haxall House. 6:30pm or 8:45pm. Prices vary depending on seats.

Friday, Dec. 13

🎉 Swifties can celebrate Taylor Swift's birthday at The Park with Taylor-themed drinks. 8pm-midnight. $10.

🇬🇷 Watch "Mamma Mia!" onstage at the Altria Theater 8pm. Tickets start at $53.50. 

Saturday, Dec. 14

🎁 Find a last-minute locally made gift at the "Made in RVA Holiday Shop" at Art Works in Manchester that's open through Dec. 28. 11-5pm. Free. 

⛵️ Watch the annual holiday tradition of the "Boat Parade of Lights," where people take their decorated boats down the James River starting at 3101 Wharf Street. 5pm. Free. 

Sunday, Dec. 15

💃🏻 Paint, sip and salsa dance at Väsen while wearing an ugly Christmas sweater. 3-7pm. Free if you just want to salsa, $40 if you also want to paint. 

🎅 Bingo Beer has a 90s-mall-inspired holiday market that includes pics with Santa, food court snacks and the arcade. 12-5pm. Free.
